Industry minister served green coal

Mikael Damberg, Sweden’s Minister of industry and innovation, took an innovation trip through Umeå yesterday.

BioEndev is a world leader in torrefaction - a technology which helps transform forest waste into the next generation of renewable biofuels. The company, owned by Umeå Energi together with researchers
and entrepreneurs Anders Nordin and Ingemar Lind, were paid a visit yesterday by the minister.

They had the opportunity to discuss the industrial potential of the technology in Sweden and the conditions for exporting to world markets.
